See the applicant's true cash, on every repayment date

Pouch turns the open-banking data you already pull at application into an itemised picture of real income, real commitments and true free cash, then projects that position forward, day by day, across the whole term.

01

The problem

A blurred snapshot, read crudely

You lend to businesses off a one-time open-banking pull: outgoings summed into totals, a fat "other" bucket hiding what is committed versus flexible, and internal transfers counted as spending.

The snapshot you underwrite from

Inflows · one number£18,900 /mo
Outgoings · one number−£13,400 /mo

what's committed? what flexes? what's really theirs?

and you size a £24,000 loan from this.

every mis-sized loan is a real loss

02

How it works

How it works: the Static Model at application

Step 01

Push the transactions

Your applicant connects their accounts through open banking at application, exactly as they do today.

Bexfield Landscapes Ltd · accounts connected

open banking · at application · 34 seconds

INV-208 · GARDEN CONTRACT+£3,150.00

EQUIPMENT FINANCE DD−£1,450.00

WAGES RUN · MONTH-END−£4,110.00

POST /v1/transactions · 202

one consented pull · a few months is enough

Step 02

The engine resolves the position

Pouch reads every recurring line on its own detected cycle (month-end wages, rent on the 1st, quarterly VAT), excludes internal transfers, and resolves true free cash on every single day.

Step 03

The Static output comes back

You receive a precise category breakdown, historical daily balances, and a forward daily net-position forecast up to around 12 months out, including the exact days repayments fall due.

Step 04

A second opinion on every decision

The output reads each decision back to you: lend more where every due date clears, lend less where the term would bounce, and approve the good applicant your rules turned away.

FAQ

The questions your team will ask.

We already use cashflow data and a score. What does this add?
A score answers approve or decline. Pouch shows the position underneath it: how much, on what terms, and what the applicant's cash looks like on every repayment date. It is an additional layer beside your existing checks, not a rival score, and the decision stays entirely yours.
How accurate is a daily forecast, really?
That is exactly what the pilot answers. We rewind an application's history to an earlier date and forecast forward using only what came before. Comparing the projection against the actual months that followed shows you the accuracy, on your own data.
What about thin-file applicants?
A few months of categorised data is enough to produce output, and a longer history sharpens the forecast as longer cycles become visible. The pilot shows you both on real cases from your own book.
